The drier weather of summer 2018 after a rainy springtime earlier this year has secured strong progress for the new construction project that is being called the new standard in memory care — North Woods Village in Kalamazoo, Michigan, which broke ground on September 14, 2017.
The construction project uses a 7.5-acre site and will boast a state-of-the-art residential care facility for people with Alzheimer’s disease and other memory loss issues. (www.northwoodsmemorycare.com)
The project includes access to a 10,000 square-foot central courtyard allowing residents who live in one of the three building “neighborhoods” to visit others in a safe environment.
The North Woods Village in Kalamazoo is the largest project of Premier 1 Construction to date. For Premier 1 Construction president and owner Al Lusk, this is the third project he has managed for the North Woods Village owner.
